Ireland vs Pakistan T20I Series 2024 | Highlights

 

In May 2024, the men's cricket team from Pakistan is expected to go to Ireland to play three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against the Irish squad. Both sides will use this series as part of their preparation for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in 2024. This will be the two teams' first bilateral T20I series. The bilateral series was announced in July 2023 by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as a part of the updated 2023–2025 Future Tours Program for Pakistan. Cricket Ireland confirmed the trip schedule in March 2024.

The schedules for the three-match Twenty20 International series against Ireland were released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on March 29. From May 10 to 14, all three games will take place at Dublin's Castle Avenue.

This series will mark the first multi-match bilateral T20I confrontation between Pakistan and Ireland, which is a historic moment. The two sides had previously only faced off once in the shortest format, during a single game in 2009.

A two-game Twenty20 International series was slated for July 2020; however, the Covid-19 pandemic caused the tour to be canceled.

Pakistan is planning to play 12 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) in order to hone their form before the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in the USA and the West Indies in 2024.
