Rizwan and Haris Return

In order to get ready for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in 2024, Pakistan will play three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) against Ireland and four T20Is against England.

During a press conference in Lahore, the Men's National Selection Committee of Pakistan announced the Twenty20 International team for their tour of Ireland and England. The tour begins on May 10 with a three-match series against the Irish.

Following his recovery from a shoulder injury sustained during the PSL, Haris Rauf is expected to make a comeback after missing the series against New Zealand. In the team that will play in the T20I series against England and Ireland, Hasan Ali also makes a return.

With the exception of two players, Usama Mir and Zaman Khan, Pakistan has kept much of the team that faced the Black Caps. Salman Ali Agha, who participated in the recent home series as a reserve, is included in the traveling contingent of eighteen players.

Because of pain in his right leg during the build-up, Azam Khan missed the entire series against New Zealand, and wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan was forced to miss the last two games because of a hamstring injury he suffered in the third game.

Prior to the five-match Twenty20 International series at home against New Zealand, which finished in a 2-2 draw after the first game was washed out, Babar Azam, who was reinstated as white-ball captain, will skipper the team.

The following players represent Pakistan:

Muhammad Amir, Mohammad Rizwan, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Usman Khan, Hasan Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, and captain Babar Azam.

The selection committee stated, "Because of the exceptional talent available, crafting this squad was a challenging task." Following extensive consideration of numerous cricketing factors, we have selected these 18 guys.

The team consists of a strong top order that includes Mohammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, Abrar Ahmed, and Babar Azam; a capable middle order that includes Azam Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Muhammad Irfan Khan; adaptable all-rounders in Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, and Salman Ali Agha; a pace group that includes Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, and Shaheen Shah Afridi; and the bowling prowess of Abrar Ahmed.

"We recognize that Usama and Zaman are going to be sad, and rightfully so, since they must be eager for the upcoming tours of England and Ireland. They have lengthy careers ahead of them and are excellent cricket players. To be available if needed, players must keep their attention on their cricket.
